Would you ever consider living in pre-industrial society??!

Question: before cars, "jobs", and all the crap we have to deal with in "modern" society?

or do you like it the way it is with all the modern conveniences?

why so?

Oh thats a hard question but I think it would have been very interesting as there was a completely different set of values then and think we could all learn something by that.Good question though have a star.

Like Afganistan?

Probably especially if it meant NOT having to go through an industrial period ever.

I have been told many times I would make a good frontiers woman...

BUT, may I take my dishwasher and washing machine back in time with me?! hahahaha

sorry, didn't tell you the why....just cuz! ~grin~
It is far too lengthy to explain, but I am a simple woman with simple wants

No.....

i live in GLASGOW what are these things you are going on about.

I wouldn't mind if I had to stay at home and wash cook and clean while my MAn was out hunting although I do think it is a lot easier just having to work for money to buy those things then you get a lot more time with the ones you LOVE

Agrarian culture still had all the social inequalities and hardships. There was no health service, so when you were too old for work it was either the work house or starvation.

There was no 'rosy' earlier time. It was murderous.

Everyone had a job back then...it was necessary for the survival of the tribe, village, town, etc...
Rather ride a horse, anyday!
Rather hunt, trap, fish, anyday!
Bathing and washing hair could be a problem, but I'm sure they had their ways....
Knowing medicinal plants...I'd probably have been the ole 'medicine woman'...or else burned at the stake for being a witch(that's what they 'superstitiously' did in those days)

I love history and often fantasise about living in the past. Obviously I would have a charmed life; perhaps a Tudor beauty, A Victorian Lady - someone who has a good life!
