Question: I have found that when I want to keep something hidden I will say it to them jokingly and they never really see what you are telling them. Do you think this is true for most people?

Most people you have relationships with don't want to see you at all. They want to see their version of you. It is very easy to give them what they want and keep yourself hidden away. That is until that certain someone comes along who sees you perfectly. Then you can't run or hide. That one will know you for who you really are, and LOVE you anyway. Keep him.

yep. it works most of the time.
depends on the kind of person you are. If you make jokes like that easily and often, then you're more believable. But if you're usally very straight laced and lack sarcasm in your everyday life, it may come off looking REALLY forced that you're trying to joke about it.

My sister dated a guy that turned out to have a wife... was separated but she came back... later on after they were friends only (my sister broke it off once she found out)... she noticed how he would tell his wife about all his 'friends' that were female.
