Today i saw someone who is a level two, top contributor, how so? thought you had!

Question: It is based on the number of questions answered in a pratcular category
and the number of best answers obtained.

For example, if you only answer seven questions per day in teaching, you cannot obtain top contributor even if all of them were selected as best answer.
If you answer 20 questions in teaching with none chosen as best answer, you cannot obtain top contributor either, but

If you answer at least 10 (I believe) and you get 10-20 % best answer, then you get top contributor.

  • and

    do you

top contributor is someone that is good at some topics...
u dun have to be on level 7 to be top contributor..
but i dun know how to be one

A top contributer is someone who has a lot of good answers. I think they need more than 20 % to become a top contributer. It has nothing to do with levels or points

ive always wondered that to.i think after you answer a lot of questions on 1 subject, like p&s for example and if you get a lot of best answers you get the badge.

No, no, no.....it's based on a certain percentage of best answers in a category or topic. Level 7 doesn't really mean anything other then you answering a lot of questions. I mean look at Judas Rabbi, most of his answers are around 3 words long....

Think it goes on most answers or questions, and also if its a smaller catogory,,p&s is large compared to say magizines or radio, hope that helps. happy new year,

I don't suppose it was me? lol
Maybe they just type, type, type all day and night?

A top contributer is a person who has many answer or question for the forum.......

i asked a similar question last time. have a look at this, it's interesting

    hope i could help

You earn a top contributor badge by being chosen for best answers enough times in one category. The percentages seem to vary since I have seen some with only nine percent and still a top contributor. Polls and Surveys no longer has top contributors, but the other categories still do.

The Top Contributor badge is dynamic, and you earn it by being an active participant who contributes quality answers in a particular category on Answers. Anyone can earn a Top Contributor badge as it does not depend on points or level.

Top Contributors are not permanent, which is to say you must continue to be an active answerer in order to retain a Top Contributor badge. Similarly, even if you are not a Top Contributor today, you can earn the badge by contributing high quality answers in any category or multiple categories of your choosing.

The more actively you contribute quality answers and best answers to a particular category, the more likely you will earn a badge for your contributions in that category. Just like featured users or category leaders, the badge is another way to honor and feature community members who are actively participating and knowledgeable in particular categories on Answers.

    i have the same question..
    thanks!
