born to be ME....

when in teens I thought a scientist, now that I am about to be one I would rather be anything but into research :( :( :( :(

I was born to be an old woman ... and I'm getting there and having a ball with it.
According to my mother, I was born to be an artist, but due to the 'abuse' I got when I was small (which was not meant to abuse, but to encourage) I did not grow up to be an artist. I wanted to be a writer, but became a psychologist first, a professional writer second.
So, while I am trained to be an artist, I have no desire to be one. I am now married to a fine artist, though, and have been told that I may be the only person in the world who could stay married to this man. To others, he's many things, some good, a few bad. To me, however, he's perfect (for me, at least) ... and my extreme understanding of art gives me an extreme understanding of him as a person ... so was all that 'good training' I got as a child wasted, or simply given ground to grow?
I was born to be a human being, a female human being. The 'nurturing' I got set me on a path I didn't want, but it did affect my profession, my passion, and finally my marriage. Some are choices I made, some are choices God made for me. We are 'the sum' of both 'nature' (our birth) and 'nurture' (our upbringing) ... and while there are parts of my past I don't like, I LOVE WHO I AM NOW ... and I am looking forward to dying (although not to soon, because I'm not 'done' here yet) and getting to Heaven and learning 'the rest of the story.' Maybe THEN I'll have a different answer ... but for now, I'm happy with my 'take' on your question.

Bad....Lol

A writer.
