Because their answers suck and are so unbearable to look at that you have to so you don't see the answer anymore.

if i give someone thumbs down it's only cause their answer is ridiculous and they're not even trying, they're just saying anything to get 2 points.
because those answers are subjective, discriminative, rude, failed tried-to-be-funny answer, and sometimes just plain idiot...!
