Question: I don't know, but if I was running a business, I would not keep someone who does that on the payroll. A successful business requires it's employees to be there when required. I realize that sometimes things happen and people get sick, but getting sick once a week is excessive.

I'd love to know that, too! We also know people that take their sick kids to work with them rather than staying at home to care for their sick child...what the hell is that? People are strange.

i have no idea, some like that when they do show up, don't work, they just walk around and talk, and yet they still manage to keep their job!
they can't hire someone else to do the job that person is doing-not for the money they pay. Example: If you have a trained medical coder and she gets paid 8 dollars an hour and has been there for 10 years, they can't bring someone new in with that kind of exp and expect to keep paying 8 dollars an hour

I wonder the same thing. There is someone in my office like that. She takes a lot of unpaid time off I guess. That's the only thing I can think of. I should get a rasie for just showing up for work so much.
