Have you had good or bad experiences on New Years eve? tell us about your experi!

Question: Mostly good experiences. Usually we have New Years at my place, but last year we traveled into the city (I live on Long Island, so not that far away) to see the ball drop and we were miserable. We got there around 4 or 5 which is a must (you have to get there early to actually get a spot in Times Sq) and we froze for 7 hrs or so and then after the ball dropped everyone makes out with their significant other and then it's a mad rush to get out of the city. The streets are usually empty by 12:30. So I wouldn't suggest doing that, unless you're into standing out in the cold. People have told me that the Disney Parks are fun to be at on New Years, so maybe I'll try that next year.
