i used to talk nonstop as a kid..my sister used to sneak in and ask me questions. one night she asked me who my boyfriend was..i said "John". just happened that she asked me while i was having a dream about John Lennon.(id read a story that day about the govt trying to deort him so he was on my mind.)
As to your question..sounds like you are a little garbeled when you sleep talk . but I bet you are actually saying "He's my father."

i talk in my sleep all the time...generally its phrases that make sense, but not in the context of anything thats happening around me.....i did it tonight to my bf who ended up laughing hysterically at me for a good 10 minutes because of it

you can have a whole conversation with my sister while she's sleeping. people talk in their sleep all the time.

I talk in my sleep too, you're not crazy. I've even sleepwalked once. My mom said I'd ask her stupid questions while I was sleeping sometimes, like "Guess what my favorite soda is?"

There are many people who talk in there sleep. My sister has complete conversations with people in her sleep. It's nothing to be scared about.

I've been told that I've talked in my sleep by many people. I also get up and walk around in my sleep. I've never made it beyond my own property while sleepwalking...thank god.

hahaha if I am in the right mind set when I am sleeping it is possible to carry on a whole conversation with me without me even remembering it! So no it is not unheard of, but talking to myself and mumbling out weird word combinations isn't something I do! Honestly though my mind never stops running when I go to sleep, so I have had my girlfriend talk to me for a good 15 minutes on the phone while I was asleep, and she didn't even realize i was asleep till I woke myself up.
so no worries it is not unheard of.
My cousin and I actually had a conversation in our sleep during a sleepover. It actually freaked everybody out because we understood each other and spoke coherent words. Sleep talking happens all the time.
