My youth wasn't "wasted" on me...
In fact...I'm currently enjoying the very last of it to the fullest before I slide into permanent middle-age, senior citizenship, and then a slow, horrific death...(just kidding)...
But I WOULD go so far as to say that "youth" is "taken for granted" by the young...
THAT would seem to be a more accurate "elderly assessment" of the "youthful" situation they observe...

boy is it ever.....seems like the young people today appreciate their youth more than we did when I was 22, we just wanted to grow the hell on up and make money and buy property....we didnt dwell on the fact that we were young, I hear a lot of young people today say Im gonna do such and such while Im young......my generation never really talked about doing stuff because we were young.
No because every one has to learn sometime. It's only through learning that you can get wisdom and become a boring old fart saying, well, you should have done it like that!
