Care to share your favorite Mel Brooks movie?!

Question: Please explain why it's your favorite.

If your not a Mel Brooks fan then you have no reason to answer this question.

Mine is Blazing Saddles, no reason except it tickles my funny bone no matter how many times I see it. Young Frankenstein is my second choice.

High Anxiety

I like the song:

high anxiety, it's you that I fear
high anxiety, whenever you're near...

Young Frankenstein is my favorite. I do like Blazing Saddles. Maybe I'll watch that today.

Blazing Saddles
Just love all the humor from slap stick to puns and bad jokes. I could watch that movie over and over then watch it again.

"Badges? We don't need to stinking badges!"
and
"Where are all the white women at?"

Young Frankenstein is my second choice as well.

"What knockers!"

"Thank you Doctor".

Hello there,

There's quite a few that spring to mind but on seeing your question the numero uno was Spaceballs:

The reason being was when it first came out I was already an avid Star Wars fan and as time wore on my friends and I would watch it all together and we could just throw out one liners from the film. Even now this brings back a memory of my 13th birthday and a group of us was reanacting the scene where Dark Helmet played magnificently by Rick Moranis with the use of the ring of the schwartz lasers a mechanics genitalia and so the parents in the viscinity looked slighty perturbed when five or so boys within the 9 - 13 age group placed each of their hands on each of their crotches.
The scene where Yoghurt played by Mr. Brooks himself makes a blatant statement about merchandising and how the Spaceballs logo is on each and everything including a flamethrower where he says "The kids luv this one."

Blazing Saddles was hysterical, especially the bean scene and because I admire the surrealism in life as well as fiction I greatly enjoyed the penultimate scenes where the film goes into reality.

High Anxiety just made me laugh so much one of these was when Harvey Korman is flicking paper clips and had vampire type dentures was funny.

The Producers (Okay last example) I enjoyed a great deal and especially at the end with the production number "Springtime for Hitler." and from a Jewish viewpoint I feel it was good fro both Brooks and Spielberg (as he has used nazi symbolism in his films too) was a good move and as Brooks has stated time and time again the reason he imitated Hitler and had him being made fun of was to show how they were pointing fun at the tinpot dictator.

Okay, looking back at all my writing maybe I should have stuck with one example :)

Happy New Year Everyone.

Robinhood Men in Tights!

To tell you the truth, anything Mel Brooks touches turns to gold. The man is an Ultragenius!

But if I had to pick one or two or three...

Blazing Saddles
The Producers (original)
High Anxiety
