Which english accent do you find hard to understand?!

Question: honestly

Answers: honestly

I have no problems with English accents

Glaswegian & Aberdonian Scottish ones are a nightmare though - Especially when the speaker has had a few beers, and maybe a few "nippy sweeties" (thats whiskys to non Scots).

EDIT: There are obviously quite a few who don't understand that we have many different accents in the UK, and not just on national lines.

Someone from the midlands will pronounce look just how it is written, but someone Lancashire will pronounce it more like luke - I have a family member who "lukes in cuke bukes" for recipes LOL.

Conversely many areas will pronounce bus as it is written, while I, a midlander, pronounce it buzz.

Add to that the use of local slang, and the fact that different areas speak at different tempos, which is my main problem with some Scottish accents, they speak too fast, and it's probabyl as bad as a New Yorker trying to understand someone from Louisianna

british

Hindu.

I found you Yanks bloody confusing..
And you sound stupid as well.

I hate you whole coz of that bloomin Joey Ramone.. Haha they think theyre punk fcuking rock..
HAha theyre monkeys toss for all i care

How many are there?

Indian.

The kind that....

cockney
I think it's called that.

Idk i'm not from England.

cockney because they're poor

Californian!

English accent? Like...the accents in England? Or accents from English-speaking countries?

If you mean the latter...
I'd say probably British-English or Australian-English.
I'm from New York so I understand anything that sounds like a New Yorker accent (Long Island, Brooklyn, etc.) and New England accent...Boston accent, etc. Sometimes I have trouble with Southern accents, but usually if I hear them talking for a few minutes I'm good. I'm not familiar with other accents (Scottish, Irish, etc.)

down mainer

i think the new england thing is weird
like boston or milwaukee? whatever it is where they say stuff like "New Joisey" or "dowg"

How many are there? And what's the differences between them?

Bostonian and South Jersey. My aunt from Jersey came to visit once and struck up a conversation with a die-hard Bostonian. It was funny as hell because they couldn't understand each other, even though they were both speaking English.

Geordie accents. I'm not having a dig , i think it sounds neat , i just don't always understand them.
(Newcastle in the N.E. of England)
