I like to go to this secluded spot by the Mississippi River and sit when I need to get away.

Yes we have a big public park just across the road from us.
I love the beach, Lake Michigan is 50 miles away from me.
Sure.
Yes I have a very beautiful place just a few minutes away,
It's a place where I can write songs, take a walk and just relax.
Thank you :)
So quiet and tranquil.
I live in the city so the park is as close as it gets.
ya my balcony.. love it... its where i have my coffee and cigarette in the morning
Yes, lots of green space here. That's why I love it. I hike to a beach that in all the years I've been going there I have only seen one other person, it's perfect.
yes, i live just up the road from a beach. it's great at this time of year with no tourists! diane.
No, not really much around here for sure.. There is a state park that is kinda nice but it doesn't have much.. you can sit and watch the boats go up and down the river though... I sure do miss Florida and the beaches.. The sunsets and sunrises are so beautiful across the water.
Yes, I have two small lakes very nearby, the whole of the North Yorkshire Moors within walking distance of my house and I can get to the beach in 10 mins by bike without using a main road.
Who's a lucky boy then?
BUT I still waste half my time on here
There are parks here in Houston, and Galveston is only an hour away, but I personally don`t feel a need to ``escape``.
Yea i live in cotswolds so there is loads of green space here..
Hastings beach
I have both - I can be in the New Forest (Hampshire, England) in 5 minutes on foot and can reach a nearby beach in about 10 minutes by car.
Don't have a beach exactly but I do have a riverbank that has sand on it and a forest just like 2 minutes away
Yep, we live right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, tons of open greens spaces all around us, a wonderful place to go to when you want to get a away from it all.
I have this about 15 mins walk from my home.
