Answers: And no I'm not hungover. I don't drink alcohol.

i can give you a temporary fix.i was on a plane with a headache.and the guy next to me was a doctor and he told me a fun way to rid me of my pain.he said a temporary fix was to eat a cup of ice cream.the coldness would freeze the brain cells that sends shocks wave through out your head.try it and see.

take an aspirin

if you don't have prescription meds the best thing to take is Excedrin migraine, get off the computer, put something cold over your eyes and take a nap.

The best thing to do is go to bed and go to sleep, hopefully it will be gone when you wake up. That's the only thing that helps me when I have a migraine.

good luck

turn off the lights, and put a damp towel on your forehead.

I find that excedrin, aspirin, and tylenol are all ineffective for migraines. I use 500 mg naproxen sodium, aka Anaprox or Aleve.

you better not be drinking c&c. I'll have to come over there and really smack one of my contacts up. Did you take any over the counters? I'm sorry the only thing i can say is pain relievers and just take a nap. I really hope you feel better

Migraines are caused by over-heated blood vessels in the brain, which swell and cause unpleasant pressure...

It has many causes...
Along with alcohol, too much sleep, too little sleep, staying in a overly warm house too long, too little exercise, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, not getting enough "fresh" air, sitting too long, eyestrain, etc...

You must cool yourself down!

Take a cold shower/Run your head under cold water...
Run cold water on your wrists...
Chew on ice cubes...
Eat ice cream..
Take a walk outside in the cold for 15 minutes...
Drink cold water...
Baby aspirin, as a last resort...
etc...

The goal is to make the blood vessels contract!

I heard, if you close your eyes and apply SLIGHT pressure to eye lids (i.e. with thumbs) for a short while, it can help ? Hope it does - saw it on TV (medical) program

I don't know if this works because I don't get migraine so I've not tried this. I read (on a herbal health blog) that about 1 ounce of minced root ginger made into a tea can relieve symptoms in half-an-hour and continue to relieve for 4-6 hours.
Peel the ginger with a spud knife, make thin slices and blitz in the liquidizer with a cup of warm water. Pour the concoction into a small saucepan and bring to the boil, turn off the heat, then allow a few minutes to infuse. Add sugar or anything that makes it more palatable.

asprin and a funny movie

One strong cup of coffee

awwww Cookies (((((hug))))) hope that helpes you feel better. you might have overslept and thats why the migraine. sometimes when i oversleep for hours and then when i get up, i too get a terrible headache. all you can do is take a medicine and wait for it to get better and rest for sometime and take it slow till it go aways

p.s. - or maybe you had too many cookies to give heed to that crazy cookie addiction..lol

It all depends on the cause..
Massage the long neck muscle in between the earlobe and shoulder that cause pain.
Theres a pressure point like a small marble in the web located between the thumb and index finger massage it.
