I just read average is like one a year from the age of 17, subtract one for every year of marriage. Personally I'd say if the number is greater than your age, that's way to many.

I'm not sure there's a specific number, although the guy who said the thing about 1 a year since you're 17, minus each year of marriage may have been on to something.
I think that when you start to have trouble keeping track and remembering names, you've probably exceeded an acceptable number.
If you're both single and consenting, there is no "too many."
