yea when my brother was comeing home from afganastan! we tied yellow ribbons around old oak tree's it was magical
i miss my brother though. :(

That song was written long after I came home from Korea.
I did for months I would tie a yellow ribbon around the tree when my possum disappeared .... every morning it would be gone. So I'd tie another one .... This went on until i saw a picture of my Possum in a gorgeous yellow dress performing down at the rainbow & bait room in town .... she'd beeen down there the whole time singing for drinks & bits of fish guts.
