i never thought there even was a Santa. :o)

I was willfully ignorant of the fact that he didn't exist up until age 11. People would tell me he wasn't real but I would make up arguments that he was real.

I was still in Elementary school.

The idea of Santa is actually a reality. I was about 9 when I understood that Santa was not a physical entity. It took me about two years to understand that the meaning of a Santa was actually the act of participation in a myth that is meant to represent a way to reward good behavior. This myth has different value in other nations, but the bottom line is the same. Gifts presented to those who believed in "Santa", were rewards. No matter what name "rewards" are given, the philosophy is the same. They result from positive behavior.
