My answer is No,
but not for the reasons that most people will
science it never 100% certain about anything, that is the nature of Science, which means essentially "to study". Science always tends to find more information so can never have a truly complete picture about something (even the supposed Laws of science are often challenged).
In terms of comparing science to religion I believe science provides far more acceptable answers and for the right reasons...
I don't know. Several times in my life I have gotten caught in places I maybe should not have been. When asked, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!?" I usually had an elaborate "excuse" for being there. It NEVER worked and I always got in trouble anyway. All that to say that I really don't think a scientific explanation of why I was there would have helped either. Good idea though!
