My claim to fame is my brother, he's a musician and he's toured with The Cult, Guns and Roses and he was taught to skateboard by Tony Hawk!! Pretty cool huh?? I'm very proud of him

i was mistaken as a criminal on crimewatch photofit. i was embarrassed and didn't even stay in the right country.
When I was about 8-9 I was with the school choir singing at Durham Cathedral for the 900th Birthday....I was interviewed by a news station outside the cathedral in the pouring rain about the day and how I felt about the cathedral....it was soooo cheesy....but I am proud it I guess....shame I dont know where all the tape recordings of it went that family done lol

Before Cliff Richard was famous he pulled out of a talent competition and I won! Very proud and not at all embarassed. I do wonder what would have happened if Sir Cliff hadn't pulled out though.
In a previous life I stopped Sachin Tendulkar for speeding on a main road in Yorkshire.....and let him off with a caution...neither proud nor embarrassed....it was his first time in England.

In 1999 I was on the *Leeza Show*....
I'm proud of it because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, being a single mom of three...I got to fly to Cali, ride around in limos and I got hugged by Leif Garrett (he was there too, doing a show after the one I was on and I met him on the way out - he was my crush when I was a teenager)
I'm also proud of it because Marilu Henner tried to tell me I was a bad parent and that I should have my kids taken away because of what they ate.
I contacted the show based on the topic of kids throwing temper tantrums. (never in a million years did I think they'd call me to come be on the show)My twins were three at the time, and oh boy could they throw some tantrums. Anyway.....they didn't tell me that Marilu was going to be there, but she was - she was promoting her book, something about kids and healthy eating....she gets all high and mighty with me, telling me the reason my kids are out of control is because they are eating fried foods, drinking pop, eating white flour and sugared foods....
Little did she know, that neither of them ate or drank anything she thought they did...because they both were born with digestive problems and were on a very strict diet, with all those things she said, being exactly what they couldn't eat.....she tried her hardest to make me look bad when in fact it was I that put her in her place.....
Thats why Leif hugged me afterwards....all in all, it was 100% worth the trip.....
I once spent the day with Kristian Schmid (Todd Landers from Neighbours) in London because my sister had won a competition. I was really quite young and got to sit on his knee.
I also met Jason Donovan backstage at Joseph AHTDC - how could anyone be embarrassed about that!?!?!?
I met Phillipa Forrester at the London Science Museum(?) and I was brazen enough to ask for an autograph being a little twirp.... very embarrassed about that, but still keep the autograph for the random story.... :o)
I served Bill Bailey at my work and it was all very smooth and fine till an over zealous colleague came up, gave him a slap on the back and said.... you ready for this?...... "Thanks for the laughs". I gave him a sympathetic glance and almost ran away in shame. It's was so over personal and unnecessary I could have melted my face off with the blushing.
Oh yeah and I once shouted at Iggy Pop at T in the Park and he actually heard me, I was NOT sober and I was being a pratt and he pointed at me and said something, still to this day have no idea what though.... :o|
