the way i've read it now...makes me think that the person talking use to be happy and above it all, until something happened (the dot) that pulled him down. and now everything is not the way it's supposed to be? he has changed because of the dot, and he doesn't like it

I think it's about being happy with your life and someone (a little dot) comes and ruins it for you, you lose yourself, everything.

The song is about a person as high in life as they could be, above the clouds. Then something happened in their life, that brought a storm and washed away all the goodness until they fell lower and lower each time. The strom was too powerful to overcome and the person had no where left to go until sink. It washed away everything from that person and made them feel invisiible. Then at the end, they wish the storm would pass away so the sun can come back out and they can live back the way they did before.
Basically it's about how someone was once taking the high road, being positive and all and somehow one little thought caused them to stoop to a lower level and allow the hate and resentment to consume them and get the best of them.
