Would you prefer to go dig a root cellar in your backyard or just keep using you!
Question: I really like my refrigerator.
It stays at 37 degrees all day and night.
It's located near my counter where I prefer to cook.
It even has a freezer next to it where I get my ice.
When my refrigerator died during the summer, I went for a whole month without one, and it really makes you appreciate having one again. I can't imagine a root cellar would be much better than nothing.

I would prefer to use my refridgerator. A root cellar in the lowcountry would flood anyway.

My frig is just fine. Digging a root cellar is just too much work for me! Besides, the ground is a bit frozen now.

Give me a root cellar anytime, you can store more food in one for a longer period of time, and it's free!!
