How much should I tip the stylist when I get a haircut?!
Question: I pay $15.00 for my haircut, and I usually tip the stylist $5. I have tipped as little as 2 or 3 dollars, if I was not highly pleased with the results.
Is 5 bucks a decent tip for a 15 dollar cut?

5 is good for a likeable haircut
if you didn't like the haircut as much, 3 is good
I usually tip 5-10
i always tip 20 bucks but i think 10 is reasonable
$5 for a $15 haircut is a great tip. Typically, you should tip 15- 20% of the service price.
So, you can tip $2.25 - $3 and not feel bad.
well you are usually supposed to tip 5% so make it $3. If that was wrong, my bad--I suck at percentage math.
yes this is fine and if you have a regular stylist you could easily tip more sometimes and less other times because you know that it will go in their pocket not in a shared tips pot !!!
If I'm not pleased with the results, I definitely don't tip. If they did nothing like I wanted them to (I've wanted a very specific cut & I swear the chick did something like a mushroom cut on purpose) - I don't pay them at all.
If they did the job well - I usually give them 10-15% tip, depending on the total (if it's extremely expensive to begin with, I go with 10%)
