What's a good way to remove the stickyness from my bed posts?!

I can tell you a great way to do it my dear Stormy! Just get your sweet self some GoJo hand cleaner. It is amazing stuff. Take a little dab and rub gently on the stickiness and it should dissolve. It is gentle enough that it shouldn't hurt the finish on the wood. I used to work at Walmart after i retired and I told people about using GoJo on their automotive finish when they would get sap from trees on it. That is really gentle and will dissolve many stubborn materials. It is really great for cleaning your hands after really messy jobs.

Rubbing alcohol is supposed to take off the tape residue -- but I have no idea what it might do to the finish.

I suggest you experement with solvents in a place on the bed where no one will see your experements. That way you can make sure the finish does not come off and damage the look of the bed. I would start with alcohol to see if that losened it up a little. It may take alot of rubbing to get it to come off.
Not to much pressure, and not to fast. It is important that you get all the stickyness off the bed, as otherwise the residue will continue to rub off as the bed post is used for its normal usage.

wait till its dried on then it should just flake off.
