I prefer closed, but since my 12 year old is up at all hours making really unwise choices, I've been keeping it open -- she's right next door and I make her leave hers open as well -- it's so much more difficult to be sneaky that way -- Man, I wish I didn't feel so much like a warden.

Depends, if I have the heater on , I leave it open, because then it gets stuffy, but if not, then I close it all the way.
I keep it cracked a bit so the cats can come and go as they please, also so the dogs can get out incase they need to get a drink or something. So basically, just for the pets.

I leave it open so that I could hear anything like a smoke detector or whatever. You never know what may happen while you're sleep.

I always sleep with the door closed, even when I live alone, and I KNOW the front and black door locked.. its strange, but it's true.. I just feel more comfortable that way..
