It's a process. It doesn't happen overnight. Healing comes in stages. Maybe knowing that will help you right now.
Let the pain flow through you, cry, and mourn your loss (whatever that may be) and don't fight it. Pain washes us in waves. Healing will happen on its own as you just relax and breathe and learn to let go.
We suffer so many soul wrenching losses in life in so many unique and painful ways but I find that no matter what has caused you deep pain, the grieving for the loss is the same process.
There are 7 stages to grieving:
Shock
Denial
Anger
Depression
Acceptance
Growth
Understanding

Certain pains never fully go away, they just eventually get small enough that you can put them out of your mind for a while. But they will make you hurt less & less over time. You can and will get thru this. Trust me.
