Do you vote?!

Question: If so, why?

Just curious... thanks in advance.

Answers: If so, why?

Just curious... thanks in advance.

yes. Because VOTING is a privilege not every nation's inhabitants have, because a lot of bleeding, suffering and dying has gone on to make this founding principle an Ideal worth keeping; and if we don't keep using it, we will lose it and probably finally get the kind of government we seem black sliding to. People that don't vote have no voice in the direction, thought, candid analysis that is req'd to exact the Truth about our governmental/constitutional system. Further, many people do not want to take the responsibility for what happens in this country, in the world...their own household. If you don't stand for something, soon you'll stand for anything.

hope your curiosity is assuaged.

i turned 18 last year so i havent voted yet, my first time will be for the presidential election ^-^

Yes I do. Because it is my right and my duty as an American citizen

Absolutely. Many people had to fight and some died for the right to vote. Who am I to just throw that out the window and not exercise that right? By not voting when you can you are basically telling them they fought or died for nothing.

no,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, coz boring

Yes always. I don't like people who sit around passively complaining. If you don't like it change it...

No because it is always who is the least objectionable candidate and the heck with that. You vote and they are all the same once elected anyway.

I vote because it's a civic duty & I feel happy to live in a country that has open & free elections. Besides, why NOT vote? I think its weird when people say they "dont have time" or "nothing will ever change anyway". Losers

Yes. I feel that if you don't vote, you shouldn't have the right to complain about what the government does, because you did not contribute.

Yes, every single election.
If you don't vote, you lose your right to criticize the government and politicians.

Yes. Mostly because I believe that if you do not vote, then you have absolutely no right whatsoever to complain about the government and the decisions they make.

Also, I vote even though we are rarely ever given anyone worthy of the position for which to vote. I want better choices! I want politicians that are in it to serve the people, not to receive the power and money that comes with the position. I want politicians that are more honest and forth-coming, not deceitful. I want politicians that are actually intelligent, rather than brainless puppets of big business.

i have never voted yet

I only turned 18 last June and all the local elections took place before my birthday, so I haven't gotten a chance to vote.

But I'm not passing up the opportunity to vote for this year's election. I turned legal just in time. A lot of people say that one vote doesn't count, and it's not gonna make that big of a difference, which I do not agree with. A lot of stuff had to happen and a lot of people had to work hard just so everyone could vote. And, it's a right that you're already entitled to in the first place, like making a choice... It doesn't take much to do anyway. And then the people who don't vote want to complain when an incompetent individual gets the seat. At least I can say whether or not I voted or helped to get that person elected.
