Question: My favorite Song that Jim Croce did is,"OPERATOR"!! Now I am one who loves all his music and songs. This one just stands out.
This is the first song I ever heard Jim Croce Sing!!! I was listening to the Radio with my older Brother (who just got back from Vietnam) one day and this song came on and I listened to it and it was just so different than the rest of the music that was popular at that time (1969) and then they did not say who the song was sung by!! Well, I did never find out who did that song until one night, years later, I was watching the "In Concert" T.V. Show late one night and on came Jim Croce. Well I knew him by then because of "Bad Bad Leroy Brown." So, he did sing, "Bad Bad Leroy Brown" and then, right after that, he sang "OPERATOR"!! So after 3 years, I did finally find out who sang that SONG!! Now I liked "OPERATOR" before I got to like Jim Croce but then I got to know him and that is who made me want to play the guitar!! I would sure love to hear what JIM could write and Sing right about now!! We could use his kind of music again to make us think and make us HAPPY!!!

Don't know about favorite, but when I was little - maybe 4 or so - I remember hearing "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" on the radio and thinking it was sort of naughty or something because he swore! HA! I swear like a trucker now, so I don't know what I was so put out by! That is one great song. So is "You Don't Mess around with Jim."
