Figure on people eating at least 2 slices each and I believe there are 8 slices in a large, maybe 10 so I would say order 10-15 pizzas and 7 or 8 bags of chips.

20
and 10

go to Costco and get about 7 or 8. You have to figure at least 2-3 pieces per person.....err on the side of too much rather than too little...so that would be 120 pieces and each piece has about 10 - 12 pieces.

i would say about 15-18

10 to 15 Pizzas should be enough and 10 bags of chips.

about 10 bags of chips.... and about 6 pizzas

15 pizzas and 20 bags of chips

25 pizzas and 27 chips

15 Pies should do giving 3 pieces to each person. 8-10 Large bags of pretzels/Chips should suffice.

What kind of party... Different parties, different requirements...

I was think 2 to 3 slices per person... Average 2.5...

Take a look at this: http://www.largepizzaorders.com/

8 large pizzas, maybe 10 bags of chips.

2 pizzas and 1 bag of chips. then record every body fight.

15 large pizzas and 10 bags of chips.

Fifteen pizzas, no chips, I hate them...

20???

20 pizzas and 10 bags of chips

Pizzas are cut into eight slices. I would allow for two slices per person. You might want to add two more pizzas to be on the safe side, for seven large pizzas in all. Five large bags of chips should do fine.

40! Are you from america or england cus bags of chips mean different things. lol
You are a good Party Host!

i agree with your first answerer.
20 and 10

7 pizzas
4 large bags of chips

Have fun

50 pizzas, this is 1 for each (you want everyone to feel special) and make sure to special order each and every one.
10 extra in case you have uninvited guests

20 bags of chips. People won't eat more than a half a bag each because of the pizza
Don't forget drinks!

and set out some salmon for the neighborhood cats

and remember the homeless need love too, you can have each guest bring one pair of mismatched shoes, each one filled with matches, cooking sherry and sunblock. leave these on the front porch, the homeless know who they are and what is theirs.

and lots and lots of jelly filled donuts.

don't get cheap now

people will be talking about you for years to come

Ok here it goes party ingredients

1. One Pound of ganja
2. Fourty large pizzaz
3. Two full kegs and a case of Red Stripe
4. Evry kind of Fire Water
5. Three cartons of newports
6. Ten cases of condoms

I would say 10 pizzas for 2 slices each or 15 for 3 slices assuming 8 slices per pie. Of course if you have hungry people at the party you can order more.

First, I wish I knew the age of your party goers. I'm going to assume adults.

Call your pizza dealer (hopefully it's not Dominoes) and ask how many slices come in one large pizza. Assume each person will eat up to three slices, with the large appetites taking up the slack of those who would only eat a slice or two.

Many people love the combo, some will only eat plain cheese pizza like many younger children.

As for chips, it would depend on the chip. Something like a plain old salted chip isn't going to go for much of a handful or two per person so look at the servings per bag.

Personally, I think party chips are nothing without dip or salsa which only complicates the equation. Also in this day and age, many people have chosen not to eat regular chips at all, some sticking soley to what I'm going to call "free range" chips for lack of my brain telling me the proper words for ones that don't use nasty cooking oils (Sun Chips?).

Crackers are a good substitute for chips, especially with many dips. Ritz low sodium, for example, are delicious with cream cheese or sour cream-based dips. Besides, leftover dips go great mixed in with many dishes like chicken.

I want to add that many people don't drink soda pop for a whole slew of reasons including tooth rot and the poisons in diet brands. Acidic juices too can cause tooth enamel decay if overindulged, but they're better than soda. V8 has a new fruit/vege juice out that I hope and pray isn't 30% sodium intake like their old products.

Some television show I saw years ago actually mentioned the amount of alchohol to serve per person per pound bodyweight. It may be something like 6 shots for a 140 pound person. For 40 people (especially young adults), though, it might be best to go with a keg (or pony keg) of beer if they're beer drinkers (ask them). A bottle of rum goes down quite quickly when you're making mixed cocktails.

I'd also suggest some finger foods like peanut butter on celery and possibly colliflower and broccoli if you've got the good dips. Think maybe 1/5 of your partiers will eat a few.

And as with all parties, I must stress do not let your drinks sit unattended.

A large pizza typically feeds 2-3 people.
That being said, order two for every five.
16 should do it.
Five cheese, four pepperoni, four sausage, three supreme.
