Congratulations on the 1 year milestone...you are doing a fantastic job, and you should be very proud of yourself!
The only way I make the world go away, is to listen to my favorite with my headphones on...I can normally just shut my eyes and drift away...
I thought alcohol would make the world go away, too... boy, was I wrong.
I try to ignore reality. I lock myself in my room with metal bands turned on real loud. I carry a book around everywhere, so I can just immerse myself in fiction.
As for drugs and alcohol...
I am happy to say I have no clue what it's like.
