Hopefully it's because they care about you... if they are older family members they might see something destructive in what you're doing. If they are younger, they're probably just curious.

I know what ya mean! One time my mother in law was visiting us at Philly all the way from Long Island and she started getting on my case for giving my 5 month old son hand spankes on his open hands for being grabby. I threw her out. She had to drive all the way back home.
