Either the guy's a liar, or his former employers are incompetent. I used to be a manager at a local convenience store while I was in college, and when we made deposits, we went in groups of 2 or 3, and the bank would immediately give us a receipt of deposit (a copy of which they would keep). And we NEVER kept amounts anywhere near $3400 in the store safe. There should be a paper trail a mile long to find the missing money.

Yes.I beleive him.My hubby and i were both managers at a Popular sandwich shop and our General manager and assistant would steal money from one store for personal use then accuse us or our employees of steeling then mysteriously it would reapaer.They would steel from one store then steel it from another to replace the first store's stolen money.It took us awhile to figure it out because we each worked at other stores and there were no cameras at any of the stores.When a manager from another store stole $35,000. from his deposits these GMs convinced the owner to drop the charges we knew they were all in on it.My assistant manage knew the owner and talked to him and let him know what was going on but he did nothing.We all got sick of the games and quit.The GMs eventually got caught and fired.The Gm,who lived near me,eevntually opened her own store.HHHMMMM???Wonder where she got the cash for that?????
