I am not afraid but I do get an uncomfortable feeling.

It depends on the restaurant

no you have to tell them whats wrong so they can fix it.

I only send it back if it's nothing at all like what I ordered, other than that, I'm not gonna be nitpicky if they give me french fries and I ordered a baked potato

yeah, did see Waiting! you'll never after seeing that flick!!
GO Shenanigan's

No, I've done it many times. Especially if there's something in my food that I asked them to leave out and they put it in anyway.

Not at all. If that steak is not cooked the way I ordered, if the food is cool, if a substitution was made I did not ask for... it goes back. It's my nickel.

No, not at all...I've done it before when it has not been cooked to my liking,or if they have forgotten something that was supposed to go with the entree... in any case, the only way they would know if there is something wrong is to tell them anyway...by voicing any problem there is with your meal...right?

it depends on whats wrong with it. like i eat burgers plain, so if it comes with lettuce and tomato, then i have no problem just picking that off. but if there is mayo or pickles, then i send that back because its soaked into it and its just nasty. if its a steak and cheese where there are onions sauteed into the meat, then that goes back, but if its just on top, then again i just pull that off.

my fiance orders fajitas from chili's every time we go. get gets no peppers. most of the time he still gets peppers in it. he just eats around them. at ruby tuesdays, no matter how many times he tells them that he doesnt want tomatoes on the bistro chicken, its still covered in them. he scrapes them off and complains to me. if it was me, i'd send that back.

the only thing he really complains about is if meat is over cooked (because he likes it bleeding). i on the other hand only eat well done, so if its undercooked i have to send it back or it makes me horribly ill.

--- someone mentioned the movie "waiting". i love that movie. i've worked in a resturaunt for 8 years so i feel them. if you're going to be a b*tch about then, then watch your back. but if you're nice, and yes there was a mistake, then no one really cares that you send it back. its your money, you should get what you asked for.

Not at all. What's to be 'afraid' of? In many establishments, I pay very good money to have my meal cooked to my specifications ... and if those are not met, I will ask that they do it. Don't get me wrong, I not nit-picky about my meals, but, I do want it hot, in a timely manner and exactly what I ordered ... it's not a lot to ask for. I look at it this way ... say I go into a clothing store, and buy a dress .. I get home and it's not the dress I wanted to purchase. I'm not going to keep it, because the establishment thought it'd be alright if they substituted it with something else. I simply want what I paid for. :)
