Absolutely! One summer I worked with this totally beautiful girl. She was just incredibly stunning. When I say stunning, I mean like I would catch a glimpse of her smiling at me, and I would get so tongue tied that I couldn't even talk to her. I just couldn't think of anything to say to her. I would just kind of stand there and smile back at her.
Anyway, as a result of my misbelief that she was too hot and "out of my league" it turns out a blew an opportunity to go out with her. I found out from a mutual friend that she had a total crush on me, but was afraid to approach me, because I never spoke to her. She moved away to go to college at the end of the summer, and I never saw her again.
It's one of the biggest regrets of my life. She will always be the one that got away! :)

All the time when I was younger. It had to do with my own insecurity about myself. I have since dated women doctors, lawyers, Phi beta kappas. etc. I learned we all want love and friendship... no matter what else we do. The physical attraction is the start, but the mind is where people connect.
