How do you define "inappropriate" clothing at work?!

Question: we have a young woman that works in our shipping area and today she is wearing a t-shirt that says.. "all deliveries in rear"..

Answers: we have a young woman that works in our shipping area and today she is wearing a t-shirt that says.. "all deliveries in rear"..

Hmmm, This has got 2 be a trick q, because doesn't all the deliveries 2 places get delivered in the rear? I mean the rear of the shop or factory!

I think inapropriate would be if her bra was showing or on the outside of her top or if she has on a mini skirt and you can see everything when she is sitting or standing!

Lol. Yep, that would be the perfect example of inappropriate.

It's fine unless she wants to advance in the company.

hahaha, that is so funny, she'd better watch her back though!!!

it depends on the workplace.

at least she has a since of humour

transparent shirts....

inexistent skirts

NOW THAT'S INAPPROPRIATE!!!

To me it shows a sense of humour, I don't see a problem with that.

You just answered your own question, That is a perfect example.

Fish nets, mini skirts, transparent tops that reveal bras, low cut blouses, pants with the @$$ cheeks hangin' out...

lol well where do you work? if you are a big "businessy" place, then wearing anything but a suit is innaproprioate lol.

"I don't have to look hard but I end up that way"

Lmao!..
Are you sure it was her or was it YOU!!

I used to work with a girl who had a tattoo on her inner thigh. It said... ' caution - slippery when wet'

We're not allowed to wear t-shirts at work. That's probably why - because of stuff written on t-shirts.

Jeans aren't allowed either and I would think anything really low cut wouldn't be appropriate either.

You are kidding right? I don't know what kind of business this is but let your bosses worry about it. You sound like one of those little suck ups that is right on the verge of running to tattle, you realize people don't like people like that....right?

the kind that prevents you from working

First, that is totally "inapporpriate" whether in a shipping area or not. Common sense would let anyone know that tshirts with explicit writing, anything showing skin around midriff is not proper work attire. I would definitely put something out to everyone first about appropriate work attire. However you don't want to be a dictator telling people what and what not to wear. If she continues to ignore the dress code, then she should be pulled to the side in private and advised of the dress code.
