Question: And you didn't answer the phone? I don't like talking only texting. So when they call they yell and say "you just text me how come you didn't answer the phone?" What should I say to that?

Yes, but I always answer the phone. If you don't want to talk just tell them you would rather text. Sometimes when I get text messages I call people simply because I am doing someting where it would be easier for me to talk rather than text.
