Since when is the possessive of 'you guys' 'you guyses'?!

Question: I keep hearing kids saying that and I think it sounds so stupid.

Like: You guyses party was so great.
I got you guyses backs.

or something...

Since a year ago today. Guyses was officially inducted into the dictionary on Jan. 16, 2007....

Wait...no...it wasn't...in fact...it's still not an effing word!

Pisses me off too.

haha, i occasionally say that. because i cant figure out how to make a plural possesive...

I always thought it was y'all or all y'all!

what you're probably hearing is "you guys is" but since grammar incorrect America won't do anything about you'll have to deal with it.

really...i must be old...yeah i was born in 1980

I've never heard that before.. but I like it. I'm gonna say that now, I think.

Just like "why do that happen?" Our grammar has gotten worse

I once had a chinese friend named Uy Guisez. His party was great.

Huh...I always thought it was 'youse'.

Gollum from "Lord of the rings" started that LOL

Isn't it: Youse guys? lol

lol who cares

i use it when i say your guyses party was awesome,
what else are you supposed to say?

since the entire culture of being politically correct faded away... haha ;D

Since the American school system's teachers became unionized (ie, when keeping a teacher no matter how bad became the norm).

Can you say Sopranos?

It's the way of teaching English now, "Hooked On Phonics".

im young. im 18 and absolutely ******* loving it.

but yeah i notice people do that too. i cant do it. personally it just sounds weird. but considering that the english language is one of least traditional and most evolving languages in the world...well i mean yes slang is slang but someone in another country, another part of our country, or centuries past could easily say the same about what you define "correct grammar" to be.

im probably guilty of saying "i keep hearing kids saying that and i think it sounds so stupid" but its definitely not the most intelligent way to assemble your thoughts now is it? judging people by their vocabulary/grammar or being annoyed by something so ridiculous is kind of immature in my opinion.

but you know us kids...crazy huh?

I think, written, it would be <you guys'>, not <you guyses>, as added <es> doesn't make it possessive. Of course, gramatically, <you guys'> isn't all that accurate either.
