can i give you a pointer from an aunt who helped potty train a nephew?
give incentive. throw a sunflower seed in the potty, and have him 'aim' at it....it works wonders for boys....and probably a few men. lol it gave my nephew so much incentive, that i had to carry a little container of sunflower seeds around for a few months...and when he came over, or we went to lunch, he always wanted to know if i had my 'seeds' with me, because he had to 'go'...it was really sweet...
just wait....it's hilarious to watch them, 'clear the runway'. shirt up to the neck, and pants down to the ankles.

Atta girl, Elmo helped us. Two down, one to go. Never underestimate the power of making a chart and using stickers - the mere mention of stickers makes my kids jump through hoops. From brushing teeth to allowing me to clip their toenails without screaming, stickers work.
