Question: All of the time. You'd be surprised just how much nice stuff gets tossed out on clean up week here. My sister got an almost new playpen for her son by doing that. It is illegal unless you ask whoever put it out if you can have it, but no one up here actually pays attention to that law.

I never have, but when our town has a fall pickup, there are lots of people who go thru others peoples garbage.

No but I have seen people do it. I have taken things from yards with a free sign on them!!! I got my dad a nice microwave for his barn one day. He sends a lot of time on the farm and sometimes don't eat lunch. Now he can heat something up.

My last boyfriend couldn't pass a pile of garbage without rifling through it! We had a house full of broken junk!
I'm saving tabs off of soda cans or energy drinks so yeah once in awhile i'll pick up cans that still have the tabs on them. I believe it's for the Ronald McDonald House.

Yes I have, sometimes people through away stuff they know nothing about. I like to refinish wood furniture also. I also no a man that makes a fortune repairing stuff from the trash.
