That's just the Americanized way of spelling color.
No U as in "Jesus Christ is my Savior" doesn't deminish the fact that He is....
The British and Canadians spell it colour because they always have. Americans drop the u in many words to probably be different. I have to admit it is more economical but neither spelling influences how colours are seen.
