What was the first job you ever had (and got paid for)?!

Question: A tour guide on my family's farm. I took school groups around the farm and brought them into the petting areas (for pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, etc), and stood them outside the cages of the larger or more exotic animals (the tigers, cougars, llamas, horses, etc) and talked about the animals: where they're from, basic facts, and how to care for them if you own them.

I guess I started when I was around 10 or 11, and I still do it today.

Selling subscriptions to the local newspaper, I was 9 years old. My first money making operation was when I was 4 or 5. I would take flowers from the neighbor's garden, make little bouquets and sell them door to door. I would use the pennies to go to the market to buy wax lips and candy. It was a nicer world back then.

Well, since I was about 7 I had the average chores and allowance. But, like real jobs, when I was about 10 I got paid
5$ to organize music sheets for my piano teacher.

I helped cater weddings at church when I was a kid. Arrange cream cheese mints on platters, mix punch, clear dishes for the dishwasher. Nowadays that would be considered illegal child labor since I was probably 7 or 8 at the time. My grandma's best friend was the head of the church's wedding committee (they were all cake and punch affairs so there really wasn't that much work involved) and paid me $2 each time. I had a ton of fun doing it.
