Does it really matter if we are not alone in the universe?!

Question: No, but I hope if and when we meet them, we don't try to pick fights with them.
It would be fascinating to find out we weren't alone! Think of how much we might learn!

yes it does and no we are not

It matters if they come visiting, and no we are not alone.

No, I don't think it does.

Seeing as there's little chance of ever making contact, I guess not technically, but personally I'd still welcome the news if it made the bible bashers think again... although they'd likely dismiss it as a hoax.

Yes of course it matters.

First of all, if we can listen to their radio or TV or some other sort of signals and figure them out, imagine the stuff we might learn. Maybe a cure for cancer? You will never know.

What if we find some that are warlike? Then we learn to avoid them or prepare if they are coming this way.

We really can not afford to be ignorant of what is happening around us. Just because we can not travel to another star, yet, does not mean others can not travel to us.

Not until they invade.

It hasn't mattered, to this point...!!
