If someone has a particular movie star or TV character as their avatar, does tha!
Question: Can one safely assume that they're a fan of that celebrity or character? Or that they want to be like that person? Or that they're hoping to connect with people who feel a connection to that photo? Or could it just be that they know their own photo would scare us? What is your theory?

I've always thought "Jack" was (and is) a good actor. I was just checking out some of his movie pics one day and ran across this one and said, "Hey, that'll work."
I would say they are trying to stay secrative about thier own identity or they really like that particular celebrity
It's symbolic.
I did have my real photo on here, but then I saw a question where a guy said he was masturbating over it, so that put me off.
Earlier he'd e-mailed me and said I looked like a nice person, so it seemed especially inappropriate.
What my Avatar does to you is a bonus because if you saw a pic of me, you wouldn't want to know me.
