Your thoughts on the death of Actor Heath Ledger....?!

Question: I have been out all day, and I don't listen to the radio in my truck, so seeing your question in my mail box just now is how I found out.

I am devastated. He was one of my favorite actors, and after his role in "Brokeback Mountain", and the performance he turned in on that role, I was certain that he was going to have a long and prosperous career in Hollywood, and that he would be collecting a Best Actor Oscar sometime or other.

I really am just so sad. He was very talented. I was just reading a few weeks ago that since he split with his wife, he'd been seen around New York looking kind of like a hobo, and that while he's always been nice to fans, he'd been oddly rude. The article speculated that the separation/divorce was very stressful for him. I don't know if he committed suicide, or if it was an accidental overdose, and I guess none of us will know for sure until after the autopsy results are made public, but I am very, very sad about it right now, and I hope that if it was the former, that he has found the peace he so obviously was missing.

How very, very sad.

NOOOO

So very, very sad. I couldn't believe it when I first saw the headline. My first thoughts were "PLEASE let there be another actor out there named Heath Ledger and this is all a coincidence". So so sad :-(

another one bites the dust

Too young, Depressing, sad. Seeing Dark Knight with him in it will be so weird.

I collected all of his films and I was so sure he was going to be one of the great legends... Too early, too soon and at the peak of his career... He's going to be greatly missed, specially with three of his movies done and not on theaters yet...
May God bless you and all of his loved ones in Australia and in USA.

well, this is the third Q i've answered on this. And will probably be the last one.

i think it is very sad. he was a nice guy. And, he still had a ton of his life ahead of him. what is more sad, is that there is no definite way to know where he ended up, as per eternity.
What's sad, is that he had all of that money, sucess and fame, and was so young, and still managed to waste his life by having no regard for God. I don't think anyone can be certain entirely what his thoughts were about God.

And, while celebrities are just people like everyone else, this was very sad because it was so sudden, and there were no indications of this happening. A lot of people (famous and not) have died recently. Most deaths don't really bother me, as even though it's sad, everyone's bound to die at one time. It is unavodiable. BUT this one, i found very sad and really tragic. As it didn't have to happen.
I will be curious to hear the results of the toxicology report, as it is said that it didn't appear as foul play, but all the news reports say the pills were 'strewn about'... which to me sounds staged; (so, IF he OD'd intentionally then he wanted someone to know he did it). It was most likely an accidental overdose, OR suicide. But they were prescription and nonprescription drugs the police found - NOT illegal. In any case, he was 28, which is a year younger than me; this was sudden, unexpected, and unnecessary - which makes it all the more sadly tragic.

Death is always sad. But this was exceptionally sad.

?

*edit* new report said the pills were found in the "vicinity of the bed" which is MUCH different than "strewn about". they included sleeping pills also. (trust me, it's not too difficult to take too many of those accidentally). in any case, it's still sad.

gone too soon, a real shame

what a tragedy.. and proof that money and fame is not every thing..

It is always so extremely upsetting to me when someone so young and full of life with their whole life ahead of them dies in this way.
I'm very sad. May he R.I.P and may his his family have the strength to go on without him.
