Have you ever been lost... as in the woods or wilderness?!
Question: yes, I got lost in a national forest in Wyoming. Did you know they shoot off blanks so you can hear the gunshots to know where they're located at when they're looking for you? Yeah, I didn't know that.

She got us lost in the woods behind her house and it got dark. I was scared and my dad came and found us. He whipped my butt all the way back.

Oh yeah when we were about 5 yrs old
me and two little g/fs went hiking in the
woods and got lost. We got too close to
this funky cabin and some toothless old
fart shot at us. We could hear the shots
hitting the brush around us so we took
off running. After about a half hour we
made it to the river and followed it home.
Quite exciting, actually.

I did however forget to get off of the bus after school one time when i was barely in Kindergarden. I woke up scared and all alone in the middle of nowhere. I really freaked out that time.
I know now, NOT to fall asleep in the bus. =)
*Especially when you have some messed ^ friends that wont even tell you about the bus stop... lol
Yes, I got lost in a series of canyons in the high desert. I found a pathway up, got to a pinnacle where I could see a ways and spotted power lines. I made my way to them and followed the service road back to the main road and then back to camp. I was camping alone, no one knew where I was or when I was supposed to be back. By the time I made it back I had quit sweating and just had salt trails on my face. Stupid.
Oh my yes. And it was terrifying. I got lost in the forest behind my house when I was very young. Fortunately after walking around for a half hour to an hour I started seeing some familiar land marks and was able to regain my bearings. Ever since then I had always tried to remember what direction my home was (North, south that kind of thing). So if I got lost again, I would just start walking in a straight line back in the direction of home. Sometimes I came out of the forest a mile or so, but once I was out of the forest I recognized the land marks and knew which way to go home.
