Will we ever realize that money and fame can NOT buy you happiness?!

Question: It is all over Hollywood. Yet we continue to allow our children to emulate singers and actors.
Shouldn't we rather raise our children up in the way that he/she should go, and not let them idolize some hollywood somebody who can't even live their own life normal?

the world can't see this.. however money in our times has become a necessity. with the bills we must pay to live and the little materialistic goods that put smiles on our faces.. we need money.. those who aren't fortunate enough to have some cash, will always want that cash because they see it as their way to getting that house they always wanted or such. fame is pretty much a bunch of cameramen and photographers following you around and trying to add dirt to your name. so i really dont see how fame can bring happiness. money i kind of understand. what many people out there cant understand is that money and fame is not what life is about. there is so much more to life than that and it is so under appreciated compared to all that publicity those celebrities are recieving. they have to see that these celebrities are ordinary people. when i have kids i want them to look up to poeple who can live their lives not being influenced by society, who arent afraid to speak their minds, who embrace differences in this world and who arent being blinded by fame.

I already have happiness. Bring on the money and fame!

yes thats true...money and fame can only give me the satisfaction that i have achieved my dream....my goal in life..it cant buy us love and friendship...

Whoever said money can't buy happiness was living in Medieval times. Now it can buy plenty of happiness!!

i dont know im happy when i have money, so maybe there is an amount of money that makes us happy

I'm afriad not. We should always teach our children to reach for the stars, and fame, money and success are said stars. Who wants to raise their child telling them to work a dead end job for the next 40 years so they can retire on a crappy pension that barely keeps the bills paid? What you can do is teach them right from wrong and have faith in your parenting abilities.

I could do without the fame, but money could buy me plenty of happiness.

I'd be happy if I was rich, just because then I wouldn't have to worry about billing the bills anymore...

Some will and some won't.
