yeh its true, sometimes i try and cross somewhere else just so people dont have to stop, i dont like the idea of all these cars stopping to let me pass... its embarrassing for some reason.
Because they feel they're causing you an inconvenience and they want to get out of the way ASAP..
because they appreciate you stopping and don't want to take much of your time
To see what's on the other side! They hear the view is better over there.

probably because they don't want to hold the driver up longer than possible. either that or they don't trust us drivers lol
What's worse, is when they walk across the road, (no zebra crossing) and take their merry little time.... I mean literally practically stop, knowing there's all kinds of traffic in both directions, and they're "impeding" the safe flow of traffic and they could care less, like the WORLD revolves around their butts!!!!
I go across quickly because the person was nice enough to stop in the first place and I appreciate that.... plus.. don't want to get squished either, lol.....

They probably feel like they are holding you up but to be honest if it is on red I will stop its only fair , inconvenient but fair.
