that's why I usually wait until they have to carry me out of my Apt. on one of those rolling things. That gets you in the fast lane.
That's why they have all those interesting health magazines in there. So you can patiently study to be a patient patient.
It is. If you keep them waiting 5 min, you lose your appt., but they keep you waiting first in the lobby, then in the exam room, for EVER.
Yeah, then if you take more than 5 minutes with them, or god forbid ask questions, they look at you like you're a criminal!!
What I don't understand is why I have to wait so long but it takes less than 10 minutes for the doctor to examine, diagnose, and write a prescription. If he's spending this amount of time with all of his patients, what is he doing in between?
Yes! The worst is when you go to the Gyno & they rush you into the examination room like the doctor will be in any second, and then they leave you waiting naked with that stupid sheet wrapped around you for about an hour and a half!

Yes, but there's further irony that in trying to save my Dr. some time, I decided to disrobe before he told me to do so.
If they didn't WANT me to to do that, there SHOULD be a sign, "DO NOT disrobe in the reception area!!!"
I'm particularly fond the common rule, "If you're unable to keep an appointment, kindly notify us 24 hours in advance. You will be charged for the office visit if you do not notify us."

If I show up on time for my appointment and the doctor is late shouldn't I some how be compensated for my time? Afterall, there are things I could be doing other than reading old magazines and smelling baby diapers.
it is and we're the one's who lose patience instead of the doctor and then we pay for it afterwards even .

I hate waiting on Drs. I have no patience. I guess I couldn't be a Dr could I? LOL.
