yes...Ranier cherries come from Washington and only in season about 2 or 4 weeks out of the year....they are very sweet but $$$

I have heard of a Rainier cherry. They are yellow and red, and are my favorite kind of cherry. They can be kind of expensive. Check out the link below.

Yes Rainer Cherry's are the very best! And over 3 dollars a lb. You can only get them in the fall on the east coast.

My grocer carries them from time to time. It's a brain teaser because I associate cherries with the color red. The yellow ones have a mild flavor and are very sweet not tart. The cherry that freaked me out was the Ground Cherry. It looks like a little tomato in a funny brown wrapper. Had some in Canada, they are awesome!
