sometimes when i drive cos i have driving glasses but not sunglasses i will have to get some on prescription. but i hate driving in the dark and people never turn there main beams off.

Very common if you look at something very bright for a couple of second's, lasting 30 seconds aprox.
However you could be blinded for life, if you look at say, the sun for long enough. Don't look directly at the sun ever if you can avoid it.
