I did because I loved the loser so much at the time. But, it didn't do any good and seemed to just push him away even more, even though I told him that no matter how he felt about me, I was still going to tell him how I felt about him. We have been apart nearly a year now and I am finally getting over him, but it took my getting furious at him for something to really start to get over him.
No. If you already know for a fact that they don't love you back, why take on the pain of total rejection. If you don't know for sure, then broach it carefully for the same reason.
