Would coating flowers with clear nail polish keep them from "dying"?!

Question: I know they will "die" but if I basically sealed them off from air and had them coated with clear polish would it keep them looking ok?

I am using cherry blossoms...

For real shiny flowers, use hairspray.
VO5 holds the best.

no it won't help at all, it might actually make some flowers wilt quicker! try it on a small bloom first if you are just gonna have to do it!!! and see how it works

no............... it will make them die

ok, ............ it would actually speed up their 'dying'! what happens to living things when they are sealed off from air, I think it's called dying. d'oh.
try to refrigerate them or buy plastic ones.
ps. don't waste your nail polish. or your mum's...

don't know but freezing them while alive will keep them looking the same but one drawback you have to keep em froze

you might as well let them <die> the natural way by just drying them between pages of books...dry flowers are better looking than with nail polish slathered all over...

You can get "stuff" at the crafts store to do this.

Nail polish won't work.
